The double center concave tracks the laminar flow (water) through the center of the board, keeping you higher on the wave face and allowing you to generate more speed on the board. The external Venturi channels draw the laminar flow (water) from a wider entry point to a narrow exit through the tail.
According to Bernoulli's principle, laminar flow increases speed as it moves through the channel, giving it substantially greater torque and thrust. Combining technology with science, NMD brings you the world's most famous bodyboard.
PFS-T System
Incorporating our patented PFS™ technology, this board features an angled beam configuration. Running from the tail, with the tip toward the nose, it made perfect sense to us that by aligning the PFS beams directly in line with the hip, elbow, and hand, it would allow for greater beam loading during turns and therefore more recoil/throw when pressure is released.
CORE: Parabolic Gen 3 PFS Core Kinetic Polypro, a next-generation, lightweight engineered bodyboard core that is fusion-formed to create a core that offers incredible flex properties, including instant snap back, added projection, improved longitudinal stiffness, and impressive compression strength. This core is 100% waterproof.
Parallel Flex Tapered System: Unlike the previous parabolic or curved version of our patented technology, the PFST high-density aerospace foam beams run in a slightly tapered orientation from tail to tip. This gives the board more fore-aft flex right out of the box, without sacrificing the exceptional strength PFS boards have become famous for.
